Applications are invited for a one-year postdoc position in probability. The position is based in Université Claude Bernard (Lyon) and is funded by the ANR project MALIN (Random Walks in Interaction). The expected gross salary is 2783 EUR (net salary approximately 2200 EUR). The position may start as early as September 2018 or at a later date if convenient.
Applicants are expected to work on topics within the scope of the ANR project. The successful candidate will interact primarily with members of the ANR based in Lyon (Oriane Blondel, Xinxin Chen, Nadine Guillotin-Plantard, Christophe Sabot). A collaboration with other members of the ANR may be considered, namely with Jean Bérard, Thomas Madaule or Jean-Christophe Mourrat. More specific research topics include branching random walks, branching processes in random environment, random walks in static or dynamic random environment, random walks in random scenery, processes with memory, local times, interacting particle systems.
