This Webinar is free and open to the general public, which means that kids and adults of all ages are welcome to attend.
In this Eleventh Math Webinar in English, our invited speaker, the mathemagician Tiago Hirth from Portugal, will be presenting on “Unlooped: Is It Always the Same Trick?” In 1496, Luca Pacioli, a close friend to Leonard DaVinci, recorded on paper the method to a mystery that is still used today by magicians all over the world. In this interactive virtual event, you are encouraged to delve into the secrets of the conjuring arts. Jointly we’ll explore various effects in prospect of looking at the beautiful concept that binds them together. So, no matter what your level of expertise in math or magic, grab a piece of string, large paper clips and two (different) coloured rubber bands and join us. It should be noted that there will be no simultaneous translation into Spanish provided during this virtual event.
The instructions to access this Webinar will be sent by email the day before the event to all those who register. Please fill out the following form to register: https://tinyurl.com/math-english11
